22-23 Feb Weekend Review
Saturday 22nd February
League U12 Boys Peake Villa 3 - 2 Clerihan
This was the 4th meeting between these two sides , twice in the league and twice in the Cups, every game was close and this game was very close. Villa started well and were 1-0 up after two minutes when Adam Daly’s cross went straight in with the wind behind it. Villa had chances to go further ahead but could not convert them and we’re punished with 20 minutes gone when Clerihan got an equalizer. 1-1 at half time.
Villa played against the wind in the 2nd half and again started lively but we’re caught on the break after 12 minutes and Clerihan went 2-1 up. Clerihan could have put the game to rest shortly after only for a great save by Stephen Donnovan. This sparked Villa to life and with 9 minutes to go Adam Daly again was on target to make it 2-2. Villa went for it after this and with two minutes to go a shot by Oisin O Brien was saved by the shin of the keeper only for it to fall to Jack Kelly who got the winner which made it 3-2 at the final whistle.
League U14 Boys Peake Villa 6 - 2 Vee Rovers
This was a good win for our U14’s who were too strong for Vee Rovers. Scorers for Villa were Ronan McGuire 4, Killian Ryan 1 and Ben Ryan 1.
League U16 Boys St. Kevins 2 - 0 Peake Villa
