Boys u13 Burncourt Celtic 0 - 8 Peake Villa
Villa dominated this game throughout and we’re 5-0 up at the break and added another 3 in the 2nd half. Scorers for Villa on the day we’re, Kevin Patan 3, Eoin Purcell 2, Kieran Costello 2 and Blaine Carroll 1.
Boys u15 Peake Villa 1 - 2 Clerihan, scorer for Villa Ronan McGuire
Clerihan started the best and went 1-0 up just before the break, Villa we’re missing a few players and this was the difference on the day, Clerihan went 2-0 up midway through the half. Villa got back into it through Ronan McGuire and Villa hit the crossbar twice late on and we’re unlucky not to get at least a draw. Best for Villa on the day we’re Conor Ryan, Patryk Wisnieski and Mikey O’ Connell.
Youths Clonmel Town 1 - 1 Peake Villa, scorer for Villa Sean Butler
This top of the Table clash was highly entertaining with both sides level at the top and well clear of the rest a win for either could have decided the league. The 1st half was very cagey with both sides keeping it very tight, Clonmel got the break through with 20 minutes to go but Villa to their credit didn’t drop the heads and with 3 minutes left on the clock got the all important equaliser.
Sunday 2nd March
Girls u12 Peake Villa 3 - 1 Cashel Town
The girls had a great win and with a bit of luck would be right up there contesting for the league, Katie Gleeson in goal was player of the game making 5 superb saves and Zoe O Meara was solid in Defence. The Goals came from Villa’s 2 outstanding players, Ellie Maher with 2 and Captain Saoirse Teer with the other.
Girls u16 Tipperary Town 0 - 8 PeakeVilla
This was a very one sided game, Tipperary Town are building their U16 squad and the majority of their players are u16again next year. Against the more senior PV side they put up a good show but were no match for the PV fire power. Scorers for Villa Sarah McKevitt 1, Shonagh Cleary 2, Ciara Collins 2, Caoimhe Bourke 1, Aoife Teer 1, Robyn Moore 1
Junior B away to Cullen Lattin - MATCH CANCELLED
Junior A Clonmel Town 3 - 2 Peake Villa
Same old story for Villa as their season continues to be a struggle. Clonmel took the lead after 20 minutes, Villa equalised through Sean Wade after 40 minutes, 1-1 at half time. Villa took the lead after 15minutes into the 2nd half when a Mick Ryan corner was headed in by Jody Mahoney. Clonmel scored from a deflected free kick with 10 minutes to go to make it 2-2, The sucker punch came for Villa in injury time when a clearance from Clonmel fell to their striker who looked offside to grab the winner which keeps Villa in a dog fight to stay up.
