Sunday 22nd April
TSDL Premier League Junior A away 6 - 2 Tipperary Town
James O'Sullivan (1) Pippy Carroll (3) Keith Cahill (1) Sean Wade (1)
Villa were always in control with a good display in windy conditions. Villa took an opportunity to blood some of the B team that are having a great season. Villa took the lead through a lovely finish from James O'Sullivan after 20 minutes. Pippy Carroll made it 2 nil 5 minutes later. Keith Cahill then nipped in for a third before half-time.
Tipperary scored a goal 10 minutes into the 2nd half and this was the wakeup call for Villa to kick on. Pippy scored his 2nd 5 minutes later. Pippy then scored his hattrick with a beautiful freekick. Villa at this stage emptied their bench and still played some lovely one touch football, of which all the lads are comfortable doing. Sean Wade then got in on the goal scoring with a fantastic drive giving the keeper no chance. Tipperary scored a consolation in the final minute. A fine display from the lads who are now on 32 points with one game left a great return for the season. The Villa 1st team finish their season next Saturday evening at home to St Michael's.
