TSDL Division 1 League - Peake Villa Junior B 1-3 Wilderness Rovers

On a cold afternoon in heavy conditions Peake Villa B found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-1 score line. Wilderness started the brighter and took the lead on 8 minutes after a defensive mistake from Villa. Following this Villa dug in and started to get a foothold in the game creating a few half chances ,and not conceding too many chances to Wilderness. It was nip and tuck up until half time, with Villa slightly shading possession. Half time 0-1 to Wilderness.

For the second half Wilderness started very quickly and caught Villa with a through ball on 47 minutes to set up their second goal, 0-2 to Wilderness. Again Villa kicked on from this and created several half chances restricting Wilderness too long balls and shots from long-range. Villa brought it back to 2-1 on the 80th minute when David Burke latched on to a good pass from Sean Butler to finish across the keeper. On the 88 minute Villa had a strong shout for a penalty, which was not given, and on the counter attack from this Wilderness caught them with a sucker punch to score their third of the game, leaving the final score 3-1 to Wilderness.

On a day where maybe they could have been rewarded more for their efforts, best for Villa were Sean Butler, Stevie Nolan, Jordan Fahey and Robert Jordan.
