Peake Villa FC have completed another milestone in their 8th year of the 10 year Development Plan tonight with the installation of floodlights on the new 80m x 45m Bowling Green Training Pitch.
Two years ago on December 2018 we started the work to level this pitch. It is thanks to the grant aid received from Tipperary County Council, the Sports Lotto Grant and the people of Thurles and it’s surrounding parishes.
All have contributed to the fund raising efforts of the committee and we express our thanks for your efforts in getting this project completed.
The club would like to thank the suppliers who have worked on the project over the last two years: Eamon Darmody of TMB Plant Hire (Pitch Levelling and Drainage), J.N. Cummins Fencing, Colm Ryan of Crop Care (Grass seeding and fertiliser), Rory O’Dwyer Electrical, Ronayne’s Hardware, Michael Spratt (Electrical Trenches and Concrete Pole Bases).
The club thanks the voluntary input of the committee and club members who give countless hours of their time in administration, fundraising and coaching.
Finally the club would like to issue a special thanks to the Facilities crew of Martin, Jim, Liam and John who do mountains of behind the scene work to keep the facilities in top shape.
