SFAI National Cup u15 Third Round

Peake Villa 0-1 Wexford Albion A.E.T.

We welcomed Wexford Albion to the Tower Field for our U15 National Cup Round 3 game after a long break. Wexford started strongly but some firm defensive play held them at bay until Villa found their feet. The first half balanced out into a tight, closely fought affair with very few clear scoring opportunities for either side. Half time 0-0. The second half continued in a similar vein with all the players contributing to an entertaining game. Still, no one could find the net so full time score 0-0. Into extra time and a lapse in concentration allowed a Wexford player to slot home a goal. Villa persisted again and gave everything they had up to the end. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and final score 0-1 to the visitors. Super performance from all the Villa lads.
