Peake Villa (A) 3 - 2 Cashel Town
Football and Villa were the winners Sunday lunchtime up at the Tower Grounds after a pulsating game. Villa took the lead on 20 minutes when Noel Kent calmly finished to the net. Cashel made it 1-1 when Danny Pleger scored from a corner in the 25th minute. After the break Cashel took the lead in the 50th minute from a Brilliant free kick from Micky Coleman. Villa made it 2-2 when Adam Garrett broke through and made a great pass to Noel Kent who slotted the ball home in the 75th minute. With 2 minutes left Noel Kent beat the offside trap just inside the Cashel half and kept his cool to slot home the winner for Villa and secure his Hatrick.
Division 4 League
Peake Villa (B) 1 - 1 Slievedaragh
The (B) team played out a draw in their first league game up at the Tower Grounds. The boys started well and went close in the 15th minute when Kacper Wysocki hit the crossbar, Slievedaragh hit the woodwork 10 minutes later, Sam martin Lobbed the keeper just before half time only to be denied by the crossbar again 0-0 at half time. Slievedaragh took the lead in the 55th minute, Sam Martin Volleyed the ball across the goal in the 60th minute on to the head of Davie McGuire to make it 1-1. Tom Grodski came close in the 80th minute. Game ended 1-1 with the draw been the fair result.
Youths League
Peake Villa 1 - 7 Clonmel Town
Our youths entertained Clonmel Town Saturday and suffered a heavy loss. The score line does not tell the full story with some terrible refereeing decisions costing the boys dearly on the day. Clonmel deserved their win but not by such a margin. Scorer for Villa was Mark Lennon.
U15 League
St. Kevins 2 - 10 Peake Villa
The School Boy’s league kicked off Saturday and we had two teams in action. Our U15’s made the short trip to St.Kevins and came away with a big win putting 10 past the opposition. The boys were 5-1 up at half time with a hatrick from man of the match Jack Hackett and 1 each for Ronan McGuire and Christian Cleary, Kevins pulled 1 back from the penalty spot just before the break. The second half saw Jack Hackett scoring another 2 before Kevins pulled another goal back, the game was over as a contest before Ronan McGuire got another and then Jack Taylor scored before Tommy McGuire scored to cap fine performance from the boys.
U13 League
Peake Villa 8 - 1 Clonmel Celtic
Our 13’s also had a great win, they took the lead in the 3rd minute when Owen Purcell scored with a header from a Jack Kelly cross, Villa went 2 up in the 5th when Kelly crossed again and Blaine Carroll scored, Paddy Creedon made it 3-0 in the 15th minute with a good strike. Blaine Carroll secured his hatrick just before half time to make it 5-0 at the break. Carroll made it 4 for the day 5 minutes into the second half, Celtic pulled 1 back shortly after before Jack Kelly and Kevin Patan secured a great win and a fine team performance from the boys.
