Peake Villa 3 Moyglass 0
Good 3-0 home win over Moyglass in tough windy conditions. Villa controlled the 1st half and took the lead through Cillian Rafter. Against the wind in the 2nd half Villa scored early through Aaron Hickey with great wing play by man of the match Callum Blakeborough. With 10 minutes left Jack o Meara scored a great solo breakaway goal to finish off the game.
U12 Girls League.
Peake Villa 1 Tipperary Town 0
The Girls had a hard fought win against a disciplined Tipp Town team whose goalie put in a player of the match performance. Villa had most of the possession in the first half and had a lot of good chances but could not get passed the Tipp goalie.
Villa got the breakthrough 10 minutes before the break when Chloe Shorly who was Villa's best player on the day crossed to Missy Condon who scored close in.
Both teams deserve great credit with the conditions very poor. Katie Gleeson in goal for Villa wasn't called upon too often but she made two very good saves.
Villa had a lot of chances in the second half but again couldn't find the net. Final score 1-0.
