Weekend Review 12th/13th March
Premier Division League.
Two Mile Borris 0
Peake Villa 4.
It was a tight opening first 30 minutes in this local derby with Borris keeping Villa pinned back inside their half.
It took a set piece from Pippy Carroll from 35 yards that was whipped in with pace and deceived everyone and landed in the goal to put Villa 1-0 up.
It was two just before half time with an outstanding delivery from a corner by Keith Cahill which was met by Kevin Croke with a thundering header.
After the break Pippy added a third and a bit of class from the spaniard Oscar found Jody Mahony who made no mistake from 12 yards. Great defending from Wadey, Mouse and Crokey and a couple of top class saves from Willie Tierney in goals.

Peake Villa 5
St.Micheals 0
A full strength villa side played st Michaels at home after playing the same opposition in the reverse fixture 2 weeks ago.
Villa straight from the kick off had a chance to score. Darragh stakelum played Liam McCormack in who squared the ball and a scramble in the box insued but eventually cleared. Villa continued to press on and had another great chance to score when Liam played the ball over the top to mikey Ryan who went 1v1 with the keeper but pulled the shot wide. Villa continued to press creating chance after chance but couldnt put the ball in the net and nearly payed the price when michaels broke quickly to counter attack and forced a good save from Mark McCarthy in the villa goal. And went into half time 0-0.
Second half kicked off and after some tactical changes of personnel and formation seemed to make the difference as 35mins in villa took the lead from a corner. Liam crossed the ball in and deflected off a defender and in 1-0villa.. This seemed to set villa up for what was to come as 5mins later villa had there second after a great through ball inside the full back to Conor ruddy who shot high into the top corner to make it 2-0. 2mins later villa had their third through Danny Treacy. After great play down the right hand side Conor played Danny in on the overlap and shot from 20yards into the top corner. After 46mins villa got a forth after Danny crossed but Michaels cleared only to Niall Dunne who drove into the box on the left and fired in to make it 4-0. Villa finished off the scoring in the 53rd minute through Robbie Stapleton. Ball was played to Robbie who shot from 20 yards out and scored high into the net.
Great attacking team performance well done to the team.
U12 Division one league
Clonmel Town 1 Peake Villa C 3
The C team travelled to Clonmel on Saturday, and came away with a well deserved win. The team started well, playing good passing football, with each player working very hard, and took a well deserved lead just before half time, when Mikey Lawlor finished well following a good pass from Cian Cleary. Leading one nil at half time, the team continued playing well in the second half and Aidan Stakelum increased their lead with two well taken goals. Clonmel Town pulled a goal back when they scored in the last five minutes, but the C team closed out the match 3-1, to record their second win of the season. A great team effort from all the players, who worked really hard and showed great commitment.
