After a pitch inspection the referee allowed the game to be played. The conditions were not ideal for any kind of decent football with swirling winds and rain showers. Despite the weather both teams gave it their all. Villa had the wind in the 1st half and had good chances to take a lead in at half time but could not score and it was 0-0 going in at the break. Clonmel had the wind in the 2nd half and went 1-0 up after 5 minutes. They went 2-0 up from the penalty spot with 15 minutes to go and that is how it finished.

Sunday 15th December
U10 Girls League at home to Tipperary Town - MATCH CANCELLED
U14 Girls League at home Peake Villa 0 - 1 Cashel Town
The weather played a strong part in this game, the wind was very strong and made the playing conditions difficult. Fair play to both sets of girls who gave their all. Both teams were evenly matched and the difference was that little bit more soccer experience that the Cashel girls had which gave them the edge on the Peake Villa girls. Both teams had a number of chances on goal in the first half with the only goal of the match coming from a penalty conceded by Peake Villa and well taken by Kate Gayson Molloy of Cashel Town. In the second half the Cashel defence held strong and were able to handle everthing the Villa girls through at them. In pushing forward for the equaliser Villa were very nearly caught on the break a few times by Cashel but Saoirse Teer in goals made some fine saves and the final shot on occasion from the Cashel striker was just narrowly wide. Final Score Peake Villa 0 - 1 Cashel Town.
