U14 National Cup - Tranmore 6 -0 Peake Villa.
Villa played the first round of the SFAI National Cup vs Tramore last Saturday. Sure to be a tough match up as Villa reached the last 32 last year and Tramore semi finalists only losing out to the eventual winners. Villa started the brighter of the 2 sides when villa played out of the back down the left with Cathal mcelgunn and crosses to Liam McCormack who went agonisingly close on the volley missing by an inch. Soon after that Villa had another chance to go infront when Liam's corner was nearly met by Sean condrons out stretched leg in the 6 yard box. That was all Villa had to offer when Tramores quality passing and team play started to show as they scored 2 quick goals before half time. 2-0 Tramore at half time.
After the interval things didn't go to plan for Villa as 3 injury substitutes had to be made and Tramore had another 2 goals in the opening 5 mins of the second half. Tramore continued to press on and scored again with a superb individual goal as the left winger cut in and bent into the top corner from 30yards out. Tramore finished off the scoring in the last minute finishing 6-0.
Best of luck to Tramore players and management on there league and cup campaign
U12 National Cup Peake Villa 0 - 4 Southend United (Waterford).
Villa entertained Southend Utd from Waterford in the SFAI National Cup. This wasn't a day to remember for Villa as we were out played by a stronger Southend Utd team. The boys will learn alot from games like this against strong opposition. One very big positive for the Villa lads to take away is their williness to keep playing good football no matter the score. They played soccer from the back and looked very confident on the ball. Super to watch. They never stopped trying up until the final whistle. Super effort. Back to the league for the next match and onwards and upwards.
U12 Girls Premier League - Peake Villa 4 - 0 Killenaule/Moyglass.

Villa went 3-0 up halfway through the second half when Emma Kelly scored. Captain Missy Condon added a 4th to cap a fine performance.
