Premier Division League Cashel Town 1 - 6 Peake Villa
Villa moved up to second in the league after a convincing win against Cashel Town. Villa started with a bang and were 2-0 up after 10 minutes when in form Captain Pippy Carroll struck twice. Matthew McKevitt then got two more to keep his fantastic season going. Matthew Fogarty then scored a great goal from a good pass by Sean Wade to make it 5-0 at half time. Villa went through the 2nd half in 1st gear with the game over. Cashel got one back from a Penalty after 20 minutes. Keith Cahill got a 6th for Villa with a fine finish. Manager James O Sullivan and assistant Jody Brolin were able to give all their squad a good run out and there is healthy competition for places within the squad.
U15 premier League Peake Villa 3 - 4 St Michaels
A disastrous result on Saturday that has put a massive dent in the lads push for a first league title. St Michaels started the better and found themselves 1 up inside 2 minutes when a mix up in defence caught Villa out . Villa were back level 5 minutes later when Jack Kelly played Kieran Boyle through. Kieran skipped the bell past the keeper. On 15 minutes Villa went ahead when Dillon Maher's strike from 20 yards went down off the crossbar and over the line. Saint Michaels were back level when a player was left unmarked from a corner and he headed home. Dillon Maher sent Villa into the halftime break in front. His volley into the top corner from 25 yards was a stunning strike.
Villa started the second half well and missed two glorious chances to put the game to bed and with 15 minutes a to go Michael's were level when a free kick into the box was headed home. Villa pushed hard for a winner and were caught in injury time with a counter attack from St Michaels to leave the game 3-4. All credit to St Michaels for a very good performance. They worked very hard throughout the game and got the result for it. Villa's unbeaten run of 14 months in Tipperary now comes to an end.
